The 57" went into shop for excessive steering issues. The last owner decided to put an gm gear box into the truck so I figure I would like get further advice on subject matter.
Welcome to the forum Christopher! Nice to start with a bunch of pictures, I like the BBW short bed!
One of the more popular PS conventions is the Toyota box. There are plenty of components in the system other than the gear box that can cause problems. Spring eye & shackle bushings king pins, tie rod & drag ling ball joints. Many folks who have gone through and repaired these components are impressed with the results. Others elect to change out the straight axle for IFS. What are your thoughts?
Thank you. I would just consider putting in an toyota steering box if doesn't effect if the 350 engine that last owner put owner into it. Right now, i am just figure a configuration that i can do to fix it the cheapest way i can with a GM gear box and 350 engine. Honestly, I can't have no thoughts a bouts straights vs IFS.
