I would use a set with nylon bushings. They will last pretty much as long as metal if kept greased. No reaming. I've used them on trucks all the way up to C50 Chevys with good results.
Actually I think you may be right. May be my best option. After tearing it down I noticed the top grease cap on pin was missing for what looks like 20 years and the top of the pin was caked with dirt. Ruined the top bushing. I know they won't last as long as bronze but this is a weekend driver not daily, maybe 5k a year. I hate to cheap out but that advise/option may be it.

I think that is the right call. Nylon bushings have been used for decades with good results. Grease when you change oil and they will last you decades with the miles you are expecting to run.
Check closely to make sure the old bushings haven't worn completely through and made the bushing area out of round. No bushing will last in that.
