Radiator shroud

86 f350, factory ac, fan shroud E5ta-8146-RA part number google search provides very little details. Is there cross reference or others that will work? I think I've seen the 6.9 diesels work on them.

Please, when asking questions, list all the pertinent info. You omitted the engine size that I discovered when I found out what this ID number cross referenced to.

E5TZ-8146-G .. Fan Shroud / Marked: E5TA-RA or E5TA-8146-RA / 20 7/16" high x 28 7/16" wide / Obsolete

1985/91 F250/350 & 1988/91 F(Super Duty) 7.5L (460).
---------------------------------------------------------------
Diesels used a different radiator, fan shroud and radiator support.

The 1983/91 F250/350 diesel shroud is 25 7/32" high x 33 11/64" wide.

Apologies, 460 engine, 4x4 manual trans, difference I saw in the two radiators was depth, the diesel was thicker than the original but fit....ish. With so many part numbers I wasn't able to tell which would fit.

I saw 4.2, 5.0, 5.8, 6.6, and 7.3 engines, and none of the part numbers. Did I miss it somewhere?

I see your problem.
The 1985/ 7.5L shroud (as NumberDummy posted) is E5TZ-8146-G superseded by E5TA-8146-RA. I couldn't find it listed in any of the aftermarket websites.

The mounting bolt spacing is 20-3/4", and the width is 28-7/16" with height of 20-7/16".

Looking at Gary Gragemahl listings, there are several shrouds with the same bolt hole mounting spacing, and close to the same W and H, but nothing exact.

I'm not sure how "exact" the H and W dimensions need to be.
If not exact, the shroud for the 5.8L is real close (same mounting dimensions. The shroud for the 5.0L and 5.8L is available everywhere.

The shroud width for the 5.8L is 27-15/32" and the width for the 7.5L is 28-7/16", so 5.8L shroud is 1" narrower).
Similarly, the 5.8L height dimension is 21-35/64" and the 7.5L height is listed as 20-7/16". So the 5.8L shroud is about an 1-1/2" taller.

E5TA-8146-RA is the ID engineering number marked on the shroud, the part number is E5TZ-8146-G

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any. There is one on ebay .. $74.99 .. seller (parkers_performance11) says it's NIB (new in box) and there's only one remaining.

Type the Ford part number into search...

If I read correctly, you stated in another similar post that it was replaced then by
F6TZ8146MA, is this correct? Just trying to broaden my horizons.

I don't recall...in what post/thread and when did I say this?

I read 100's of posts every day in 8+ forums, type at least 20 responses.

It was a build in this forum, big blackie, not sure how long ago. I try to use a search as often as I can to keep from repeating questions!

I know this Thread is from 2017 but I’m having the same kind of problem right now I can’t find a Fan Shroud to fit my 95 F350 Part number E5ta-8146-RA
Did you end up finding one or which replacement fit ?
