Well I think sometime this week I’m gonna order the AE and hopefully get something figured out because my friends didn’t work either so hopefully that’ll help with something

Alright back at it. My scanner got here today. got the AE with Ford enhanced bundle and got to work. I did all the programming and went out to scan and honestly I’m a little disappointed. DTC Scan said no codes but the live graphs said I had 4. Then I did injector buzz test. All sounds pretty good but I got a p1298 code and done some research and most people say bad Idm. Could it maybe be my ts chip? Bad or dirty connections maybe? I’m confused with this scanner to be honest and a little disappointed but it goes on. So I’m just not sure where to go from here so any help is appreciated!

Update. So I had to change some settings to run the truck and I didn’t realize till I researched the scanner so back in business. Got my codes pulled and these are what I found

so I’m thinking the middle 2 are for deleted ebpv correct? And the p0344 and p1211 are cam sensor and ICP sensor problems? Should I get the new sensors or am I overlooking something?

You are correct on the middle 2 codes. The cam position one may be the sensor, or it could be the wiring to the sensor. On the P1211 code I had to replace the IPR to get rid of that one. Check to see if the tin nut that holds the electric magnet on the IPR is still in place and tight,

That’s exactly what I thought. So I just ordered a new IPR and ICP sensor so we’ll see what happens with those. I did express shipping so they should be here tomorrow or Wednesday hopefully

Farmert- curious when you had the 1211 code what were the symptoms you had when driving or accelerating?

I've had the cam sensor code from excessive cranking and another time for a bad IDM.

I’ve seen that after some research also and there was definitely excessive cranking the first time it can on so I’m pretty sure that’s what that one was

It's been a while, but I believe it would just stall out. Wait any where from 1 to 5 minutes and it would start back up and run.

Sounds fairly similar. It kinda feels like it sputters like it’s out of fuel then dies then it’ll start back up no problem after a few minutes

Well I installed the new ipr and ICP Wednesday and it’s running great. No sputtering and gained some throttle response back. Thank to everyone for the help!
