May 2020 Chat Thread

Another month gone and a new month is here. This is about the time the temps start to trend warmer and I'm not complaining one bit, hopefully the rain will slow down a little too.
The wife got on the zero turn yesterday when I got home from work and mowed most of the property for me. While she did that I was cleaning and adding chemicals to the pool. Still need to mow the bottom pasture and do some trimming with the string trimmer but we have a majority of the yard mowing knocked out. Going to try and wash the caddy during lunch and then I just have to do the hummer this weekend.

The beach conditions are perfect in Panama City today thru the weekend. If the beach was open to the public I sure would be be thinking hard about a quick beach weekend getaway.

We are up in Adairsville for the weekend . Beautiful weather, watched the sunrise service. I am headed back down to Canton to work on the dumptruck. Got 2 tires to mount on wheels put them on the front. Fix the governor and should be driveable . Still need to get 4 more wheels but I can do those when I get it home

The wife finished up mowing on the zero turn and I finished up a lot of stuff that I got behind on. Tomorrow we have to pressure wash the mom in-laws sidewalk.

man I was exhausted last night. Worked on the dump truck yesterday. Started out trying to use some tire a gut gave me. Got one on the wheel but could not get the bead to seat. Could not get the second on the wheel. The guy I bought it from had been using th battery a post melted. So we found a tire shop in Woodstock that said they would mount the tire for 20.00, took it Woodstock he would not mount it due to age. We went back to Canton and ot 2 of the tures that were mounted on the Budd wheels took them back he put them on my wheels. 60.00+ the 2 budds which I can not use. One of my wheels has leak at a weld (not sure it fixable.) Took the battery back to Walmart for warranty. We finally got to work around 2. Put the one hub back on mount the wheel on that side. Got to the other side We had to use a 1" breaker bar and cheater pipe to get the lug nuts loose. That hub was very tight from sitting for 15 years, but it moved. Got that tire mounted. WE got it to come off Idle, the butterfly were stuck. We did move it a little under it own power. THe brakes felt funny, tried to pump them up blew a line. So much for the plan to put front tires on it just to get it home. Time to got to Rock for parts. Did not get back up herevtill 9.

You had a busy day.
We did a bunch around the house yesterday and were so tired last night. Went to the mom in-laws today and pressure washed her porch and sidewalk, other than that it was an easy day for us. Discussed vacation plans with the wife this morning and we decided on what days we were doing what. Makes it easier for me to plan and get tickets, etc.

Went to buy Volcano Bay water park tickets last night and they won't give a military discount over the phone, you have to purchase in person. Same thing for regular park tickets unless you purchase them as part of a room/ticket package. I already have the room reserved for after the cruise so I guess I will do the room and tickets before the cruise next month. We also need to get our passports. Got my bike out, and got her all cleaned up and took her for a spin around the neighborhood.

We have already discussed our cruise. Got most everything reserved. We are talking about changing our trip to TX to July. My grandson school is dragging their feet on graduation decision. All the other districts have already said it would either be at TX motor speedway where people can watch from there cares on the jumbotrons or a private graduation with 4 guest. Either way does not justify and 1600 pull.

I ordered 2 pieces for my bike over the weekend. A handlebar plug and a reflector I accidently pulled off with I took the bike cover off.
Probably going to do new brakes all the way around and a fluid flush on the caddy next.

Bought a drivers power seat base with the motors for the caddy off ebay last night. There is something wrong with the one in the caddy because it does not move forward or backwards very well and it gets stuck in the forward position. I also found a new power lumbar mechanism on there too. I am fixing little annoying things, things that sort of work but could be better.

I ordered a new piece of leather to go on the center console since it is looking a little shabby. The new black stainless steel pillar covers came in yesterday. The plastic ones I got on ebay look like trash now so they are coming off and the steel ones are going on.

Cool. We went out and got the small trailer and 2 racks. It will be the end of the month before I can get back up there with the wheels and tires and do not want to haul them around for the rest of the month, so I will put them in the small trailer it has a ramp.
Debra today over came another fear
