i bought some pillar post covers on ebay and they lasted a month before they looked like junk. During lunch I took them off. It took a heat gun, scraping and some sanding. Cleaned with alcohol and installed some new black stainless steel ones. Heat should not mess these up
I ordered a new set of pads for all the way around the truck. The front disc look fairly new but there is a small pulse in the brakes when stopping. Figure I would just resurface all the disc's and install new pads.
While the division service manager was doing my review I found out he use to work at a Dodge dealership rebuilding transmissions. I told him what the truck was doing as he said replace the pressure solenoids and adjust the bands. The solenoids seem to be notorious for acting up and they are right under the transmission pan. Yay!! looks like I won't have to pull the transmission. I was going to try that first anyway since it was the easier and cheapest of the 2 options.
The new drivers seat track for the caddy is on the way and will be delivered sometime this week. I also am waiting on the new piece of leather for the center armrest and the dye to touch up a couple of the other seats. I also have new brake pads coming. Once the brakes are done I will put on new front shocks and then the escalade will look and ride like brand new. The heater hose is coming for the wife's car but has to come from Italy, so it will take a little while to get here.
Yesterday the new driver's seat track came in and the new piece of leather for the center armrest. I am going to try and put the new armrest cover on today. I will probibly wait and do the seat track on Saturday because it looks like it might take a while. Since the wife learned how to drive the zero turn she has mowed most of the grass around the property.
glad you got a good review and advise. we have 90 % of the backyard back in shape, still have to do the jungle on the fence lines. Going to let me friend look at the pressure washer see if he can get it running. If not we will get an electric since we have a generator now so we can get dirt off logs before we mill them. Debra still has not got her 1200. Will work on back yard today. Tommorow or Saturday may go out to land . Got alog on the mill need to mill. I want to put the shovel on the bucket and see how long it takes to dig around tree to be able to push them up. The other option is to get the grading contractor back out there. at 100/hr. It maybe a combination till we get a 1k freed/ saved up.
Work has been pretty steady this week. I am going to try and install the new center armrest leather today. The new seat track for the caddy arrived the other day, I plan on putting it in on Saturday. All the brake pads arrived but I still need to get brake fluid and brake cleaner. I will do the brakes at home so I can pull the rotors and have them resurfaced. Then the wife can help me flush the brake fluid. I have the bike all cleaned up and I am going to ride it to work tomorrow.
glad you are staying busy. I ordered all the brake hoses amd caliper rebuild kits for the dump truck . We are going up there next weekend staying Cartersville. Friday thru Monday. Hope to get everything done Friday night or Saturday so I do not have to work Sunday. Got to take one wheel and tire to shop to put the tire on the new wheel the other wheel is leaking. We make it ballast for the tractor
Lawn mower repair had died off but tractor repair is booming. We have more tractors right now than we have bay space, not complaining one bit. Pulled my riding gear out of the closet last night, I plan on riding the bike to work tomorrow. Tomorrow is friday!! Have to work Saturday but usually slow so I can replace the seat track.

We did a little clearing today and milled one log. Have to keep Debra up all night she has a sleep deprived eeg in morning praying it good and she will be off seizure meds
Got your message Hugh. I was going to try and call you back but friday is always crazy with customers wanting to get their mowers back before the weekend.
Going to replace the driver's seat track on the caddy today at work. I will be glad to have that fixed and moving forwards and backwards again. New brakes and shocks is the only things left on the list. I want to get new carpet too but not a big rush for that.
I figured you were busy that was just a fyi thing for you. Debra EEG was great no more seizure med. she down to 2 from 13 a year ago. The 29 we will be in Cartersville thru that Monday. I am hoping we get every thing done Friday evening and Saturday and not have to work Sunday. I got to ordered one more caliper rebuild kit for some reason only ordered 3 All the brake hoses are in. Only have one tire to take to tire shop , that the one with the bad wheel.
When we go to Orlando for our vacation we are not doing anything Disney this time. We are going to City Walk, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay and they are all owned by Universal studios. I love Disney but it was time to do something new. Next year we are thinking of driving down to the keys to Key West.
I got the new seat track installed in the Caddy yesterday. I ended up taking the whole seat apart to do it. The wife said she could still smell burnt oil but the bottom end is still dry since I replaced the rear main. There is a flexible joint on the exhaust that had a lot of old oil build up. So after I got done with the seat I put the truck in the wash bay then sprayed the underside with degreaser and pressure washed the entire underside of the truck. I also gave her a good washing. The only thing on the list now is resurface the brake discs and install new brake pads all the way around. I am also going to change the brake fluid and put on new front shocks. I am going to change the transmission fluid and filter one more time before we leave on our trip. It sure has come a long way and a totally different riding and driving truck since I brought it home a few months ago. I am going to order the transmission pressure solenoids for the dodge this week and hopefully that will fix that one.
Came home from work and did some weed wacking, my wife has done such a great job at keeping everything mowed I had to get caught up on my weed eating. With her mowing it sure has taken a lot of stress off of me trying to do so much on the weekends.
