Doors for my three door

I recently received my dad's truck that he started redoing before he passed. I'm looking to do all the work myself. So today I went and bought a used front drivers side door from a junk yard that was in good shape. I have the three door version of the f150 bit the truck I pulled the door from was the four door version. I out the door on but can't get it to quite line up right. Anyone know if these doors are actually universal or do I need to get another door from a three door version?

There completely different doors. The F150 SuperCrew you pulled the door from uses Expedition front doors. You need to pull a door from a SuperCab or Reg cab truck.

The super crew is the one with the four big doors. That's not the truck I got the door from. The truck the door came from was the ext cab with the smaller half doors in the back. Everything seems to actually line up but I have to lift up on the door a good bit to shut it now.

The 3 doors were just one or two years I believe
You will want to get doors an identical year truck

For sure it was the 1997 models since I have one. Maybe 1998 also because I think in 1999 the supercrew and super cab had 4 doors.

97-'98 had three doors with the 3rd on the passenger side
'99 and up have 4 doors. You can interchange 97-98 years.

97-03/04H physically fit but refer to this and you’ll see the difference.
