Dennis Carpenter, When you glue it on tape it in place as you go every 3-4" to hold it in place till the glue dries.

Don’t want to highjack your thread, we are going to be doing this soon and wondering if there is a specific glue for installing the seals.

Very important to let tack. Then you don't need to tape it.

I have done this many times and as was previously stated, you should not need tape if you are patient and let the glue tack. Another bit of advice is to use a very thin layer of the glue and not a thick bead. I use an old plastic bondo spreader and cut it into strips to use for spreading out the glue on both surfaces.
