Easily the SCT 7015 X4. Best bang for your buck, easy to operate, easy to return to stock, can hold multiple tunes, doubles as a digital gauge cluster, can change different parameters within the system of the truck such as tire revs per mile, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, transmission shift pressures, etc, and so on. There’s so many things you can do to the truck within that tuner that it’s almost ridiculous. It takes forever to go through all of them there’s so many.

Thanks, Lamoon and the other reviews have me sold on the tune. I'll look for the SCT module.

I have the HP Tuner a little more money but it has more functionality to it from what 5 star told me so I went with it.

Does anyone know what I would have to do/could do to use my SCT x4 tuner from my old 09' F150 4.6 with my new to me 2016 6.2L? Would I be able to reflash it or set it up for the 6.2? The tuner is unmarried and factory reset. Thanks

Eric

All you have to do is update your device and either use the canned tunes or buy a tune, download it and install it in your truck. Easy as that.

Thanks. I had MPT tunes on it for my 150, but they don't do the 6.2. I think I'll add some 5star tunes to this in the future. For the time being, I'll run canned.

Can any of you that have one tell me whether or not you got your SCT tuners directly from 5 star? I had every intention of getting one for my '18 6.2L with 3.73, but when shopping on their site now the only one offered is the N-Gauge HP tuner, which if I'm honest is significantly more expensive than I planned ($680), and I really don't care about additional programming of tire size or TPMS settings... I just want a 1 time tune loaded into the PCM and be done with it... maybe I'm just being cheap

When I bought mine they had still had the SCT give them a shout and check.

Yeah I emailed them to double check that I wasn't missing anything but their response was that they only sell the HP. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy because I could have sworn I saw more options when I was looking before.

I think there was some issues with SCT not helping people when they had issues with the tuner and people was getting mad at 5 Star because they couldn’t help them either. I believe thats what was going on so they may have just stopped carrying those.

Do you run 89 octane gas with the 89 econo tune? I've had a habit of running 89 on a 87 tune & 93 on a 91 tune, but I'm funny like that....
