Can we just talk??
--Bob, I have been following your 53 build, I was worried when you took it apart cuz it seemed so good and I was afraid you wouldn't get it back together. ( When someone first show up on a site like this you have no idea what their skill level is!) But you did and it looks great. You aren't to far away and I hope to meet you someday.

Westphalia, Mich. Car show. Little one light town that got over 1000 cars for the show. The rumor is the bar and store sells more beer on this one afternoon than in the rest of the year combined! Great time!!
This was the first wrecker of a towing business that is still in business in 2020. It had been in the woods since 1971 when I bought it in 2017. I bought it from my friends dad who started the business and has since passed. It gave up lots of parts for my truck.

Below are pics when I brought Willard cross country flat towing my, at that time, 1931 Vicky that I was in the process of restoring and a picture last fall with Tom, pineconeford, at a local fair. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer that had a great career in nuclear power. I have enjoyed 16 years of retirement and looking forward to many more!
Most of the Old Timers here know my story. I was born and raised on a small farm in Northern Lancaster County. That's PA Dutch country. I went to Ephrata HS. I studied (a little bit) and played soccer at Lock Haven State College from 73-77. I retired after teaching Social Studies and coaching HS soccer for 33 years.
I bought my 54 F-100 from my grandfather in 1977. He bought it new. My daily driver at the time was a black 57 Chevy Bel Air 2 door sedan. The tranny was out and Grandpa retired from farming and was ready to sell the truck. In 1978 I bought a very nice 55 Chevy 210. Over the next few years I sold the Chevies but kept the old truck and I am glad I did. I taught school for 3 years near Chambersburg, PA then in 1982 took a job in Lock Haven where I met a girl, Coral, and put down roots. We have been married since 1985. We have one son, Zach, 28. He is a software engineer in nearby State College. He is able to work at home now during this COVID-19 pandemic in his new house he closed on March 6, 2020.
I bought a very nice stock original 55 F350 in April of 2016. It is my work truck...
I organize the Central PA Mountain Truckstock. Come join us. When this country is virus free we will need to get together to relax and talk Truck. It is at the Bald Eagle State PArk in Howard PA from October 1 to 4.
The oldest picture I have of my truck taken in Late Nov of 77 in a parade for the 1977 NCAA Div III National Champ soccer team. I was the JV coach having played my 4 years from 73-76.
