Sorry Panel. My mistake, "What does LGP stand for?" I was typing without re-reading. CJ, the Princess, says hi!

This is a great thread and I've really enjoyed learning a bit about everyone! I'm Rick (41) and I live in New Jersey and grew up in a tiny logging town out west called Hoquiam, Washington. I work as a Director of Analytics for Quest Diagnostics and we are knee deep in the Covid-19 response. My truck has been a welcome distraction from long days of work!

I love anything with an engine. New stuff, old stuff, 4 wheels, 2 wheels, hull....doesn't matter! My family has a racing background in road racing, drag cars and boats, motocross and flat track. Ive had wrenches in my hands since before I learned to walk.

I'm married for the 2nd time and my wife and I just had our 10 year anniversary last week. 5 kids ranging from 5 years old to 22. Three from my practice marriage and two from my current one.

Some of my old projects. I have a 2019 RT Durango with a Hemi for daily driving, a 2019 Jeep Wrangler for my wife and a couple of old Ford pickup projects.

Getting the kids into dirt bikes. they have mini bikes and I'm riding the KTM

My wife and I go to boxing at Madison Square Garden as often as we can.

Here are all of the kiddos.

And our two pups, Maddie and Winston.

HI, my name is Mark. I am 63, a retired machine and welding shop owner and operator. I worked for Aeroquip from 1980 until 1990 when I left and opened my machine shop. When I left Aeroquip I brought all my work home with me. Aeroquip was my main customer until I retired in 2018. I designed and built machinery and tooling to process hose. Some of you fellas probably have Aeroquip hose on your trucks. I married my wonderful wife in August 1980, so we are getting close to 40 years together. We have three sons, the oldest is the Sheriff of Jackson County Colorado, is married and has two children. The middle son is a Federal law enforcement officer in Missouri, and the youngest was in the Army reserves, now Arkansas National Guard. While in the reserves he did 1 tour to Iraq, and three tours to Afghanistan doing route clearance and one tour to Guatemala where he met his wife who is now expecting their first child. My shop is at my house and my wife home schooled our boys, so I was blessed be home with them as they were growing up. I bought my '49 F4 in 2007 after selling my '47 COE. Here some before and after photos.

Great idea! My name is Jim, I am 56 and work for a local utility company in the vehicle maintenance department. We maintain the entire fleet from gas, water, electric and transit. I have been a mechanic my entire life. Worked in transport refrigeration (Thermo King) for 23 yrs before moving to the Utility. I am currently working as their parts coordinator. I have been married for 37 years to my wife Patti. She is my best friend and is my greatest supporter in all my crazy ideas (most ideas are hers anyway). We have one daughter and three dogs, all of which like to travel with us as much as possible. I just recently began the adventure of fixing up the 1950. It is not moving as quickly as I would like. The hobby that has occupied most of my time and money is off-roading. We love hitting the trails, particularly in Colorado.

Jim, I worked at a utility also as a 3rd shift mechanic but only for 1 1/2 year. The way the senior day shift man was my age I would have been on 3rd shift until I retired. I ended up doing most my carrier in Gas service but also worked in building maintenance, electric equipment repair, and a couple months meter reading at the beginning. Sure changed my whole live as the jobs I had before were at flat rate shops.. Consumers Power/Energy was a great place to work, overall.

I found the email list in early 99 when I bought the 48 and started looking for tips on what to do with it. It's been a long time!

I will join in as well. My name is Nick, I am 26 years old and currently live outside of Reading Pennsylvania. I have a 1948 for F1 that I have been working on since 2012 that I bought the summer after I graduated high school. This has been my fist car project of this magnitude. I did a minor refresh on my Mom's 1988 Thunderbird turbocoupe when I was in highschool. My daily driver is a 2007 f150 with 250,000 miles on, and my wife has a 2017 escape.

I married my high school sweet heart, Elise, in 2016. We moved out to Michigan together earlier that year when I got a job to be an Engineer at Ford after getting my degree in mechanical engineering. The program I was in was not exactly what I had imagined, so we moved back home after a year and I got a job with Mack trucks as a quality engineer. My wife has worked various jobs in the healthcare industry, and she is currently in school for nursing. We have no kids at the moment, but are planning to start having kids around a year after she gets out of school.

I have also been working on some vehicles for my dad. He has a 1965 olds 442 that I found for him a few years ago. He had one as his first car, and has been looking for one for a long time. It was a driver when he bought it, and I have done a few major projects for him already. First I re geared it for him. It had 3.30s, and i swapped it out to 3.73s. I installed a trutrac differentials and put new bushings in at the same time. Then i rebuilt his transmission last year. I just got finished up this week rebuilding the front end, installing headers, and installing a gauge pack.

The other project is a 1997 f350. My dad bought it new in 1997, and it was his work truck for years. I started driving it in highschool until I totaled it when a guy pulled a u-turn in front of me without looking. I fixed it back up and got it back on the road a few years ago. Since tHen, it has been a normal 20+ year old truck and has needed maintenance every now and then. I am going to be tackling to rust on it this year because it will probably not pass inspection anymore.

I have been a drummer since I was in 4th grade. I played in the school band, as well as a few bands on my own time. I even went back and was the drumline instructor for my high school for two years when I was in college.

I think that's enough about me now. Its good to see everyone's

stories!

HELLO Hanger the front end is modified. You can get that stance with a dropped axle OR the front spring lowering kit from Mid 50s plus the obvious right tire combination. Thanks for the compliment

bobj49f2,
That is quite a mess of a control cabinet. Even I know better than to wire like that mess.

Nick Gordon,
Not enough drums. Thanks for going back and helping out your high school drumline. My two kids and both of their spouses are reformed marching band members. My daughter and her husband were in the University of Arizona Marching Band, The Pride of Arizona, and the basketball Pep Band.

Donald,
Beautiful truck.
