2005 F350 Diesel - Gauges only work when engine is cold - engine and cab warms up and I lose all gauges but gauge lights still work - if I am coasting downhill and open windows and turn off cab heat they return but once I close windows and turn on cab heat they die again - on a cold day if I start with windows down and cab heat off, they last a lot longer til they fail - any ideas?
It is a little odd they they work when cold but not when hot (it's usually the opposite), but intermittent failures on those instrument clusters is very common. There is a high likelihood that the problem is with the cluster itself. We would love the opportunity to help you out and get your truck working normally again.
