Well... SHES ALIVE!!!!!!!!!! I finally called Edelbrock to see if it was a programming issue; and it was!!! I had to upload the current version of the App, then download the correct mapping code, load the mapping code then she fired right off. It wasn't quite that easy but I was able to get her to hold a decent idle then break her in correctly. I got up this morning and changed the break-in oil (no metal flakes or debris in the catch filter), worked on a trans cooler line leak and now she's going to get the first bath in over 9 months when she pulled into the shop.
Oh man that's the best feeling! I was so giddy when I got my rig to fire on the Sniper kit. You know we need video now!
If you decide to order an Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 system please, please, please call Edelbrock Support and ask for Peter!!!!!! This system is very finicky and if you are not familiar with the setup and tuning of them.... You WILL need help!!!! I got frustrated, considered tossing it in the trash..... then I called Edelbrock!!!! 2 phone calls later with them walking me through everything and NOW she purrs like an angry kitten!!! I'd like to tell you that I went on a test drive after taking this video butt, in true 460 form.... She ran out of gas when I was backing out of the shop!!!
Boy that sounds good. Somedays I wish I hadn't tore mine so far down. Problem is it had slowly rotted to the point it was not even looking “cool” looking anymore. There for awhile the rust added some character to the old girl, but those days are long gone. Yours sure looks good! Very nice!

Thank you.... Hopefully I can see how much of an improvement it is compared to my test drive yesterday!!! He fiddled with all kinds of stuff in the computer so hopefully she runs like a scaled cat!!!! I still need to put 100 miles on the motor and the computer to see what the actual potential is butt..... I'm happy with where we are today.
