Anyone intalled SEIC (High Idle) on 2020 Super Duty? Apparently, something has changes since 2017....guessing bc of transmission change....cannot find any info enen at Ford Fleet & dealer has no idea. THANKS.
As far as I know the only change is the upfitter switch relays are now on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
Have you installed a SEIC on a 2020......if so do you have the directions? Yes, I know about the change in position of the uplifter switchs' wires. (I know the resistor/Oms that I need for the rpm I want to install.
Thanks.

Not yet. Picking up the '20 tomorrow. I'll let you know how the SEIC install goes. I'm planning to go by the attached instructions.
The dealer should hook it up for free..Its advertised in literature,,so as a buyer I would expect it to be operable when I get my vehicle...should all be pre wired
Just my opinion

Ford has had it wired since around 2007 but one still has to install the resistor one wants plus wire it to one of the upligter swithes....all will take about an hour to do.

My dealer installed it and no issues and he did not mention any changes from their installed on my '17/'19, he ran it thru the up fitter like on my last 2 trucks.

What RPM Resistor was installed. Are you seeing about 1200 RPM swing when engaged? IF so, i think the 20ohm resistor was utilized.

Who is your dealer & where? Mine seems to know nothing. Thanks.

I run the 1200 because I only use it for AC support of my dogs in the warm months, which down here in S Texas is good chunk of the year. In fact I used once in Jan, where I live we do not have a freeze every year.

Your kidding? Fast idle has been around for years. I installed it on my 2011 and I bet it was around before that. As I understand it was developed to support trucks in extreme cold climes that are out in the open, Oil fields, etc.
It is a Ford OEM part albeit you can buy kits from other than Ford and even make you own.
We had our local Electronics shop wire up our 1st 2020. They did it the same as the 2017s.
You can pick your upfitter switch. The wires are a little busy (more to pick through vs the 2017) but it worked fine. They pulled the wheel liner to get access to the pass through wires in the engine bay.
This method lets you adjust (and readjust) your idle to what you desire. We usually set ours to 1200 and leave it go
The use of the relay cheats the park brake so when in park, you simple flip the upfitter switch and the high idle instantly ramps up. Your park brake comes on as it "thinks" is on (requirement for the high idle). To the point that if you put the truck in drive and start to drive the park brake chime will go crazy reminding you to release the brake when all you have to do is flip the upfitter off.
