We had our local Electronics shop wire up our 1st 2020. They did it the same as the 2017s.
You can pick your upfitter switch. The wires are a little busy (more to pick through vs the 2017) but it worked fine. They pulled the wheel liner to get access to the pass through wires in the engine bay.
This method lets you adjust (and readjust) your idle to what you desire. We usually set ours to 1200 and leave it go
The use of the relay cheats the park brake so when in park, you simple flip the upfitter switch and the high idle instantly ramps up. Your park brake comes on as it "thinks" is on (requirement for the high idle). To the point that if you put the truck in drive and start to drive the park brake chime will go crazy reminding you to release the brake when all you have to do is flip the upfitter off.

My issues with that and sure this applies to others is that 100 lb dog I have could easily paw down that shift lever and at 1200 rpm that diesel it taking the truck somewhere. If you have dogs don't bypass the parking brake IMO.
2019 F350 Dually. Completed the high idle mod yesterday utilizing the 20 ohm resistor and pulling power off of #:2 up-fitter switch. $20 in material and about 1 hour of time. Well worth it !.

Don't you have to depress the brake pedal before you can shift out of park? Can your dogs do that?

My 3 little ones could not depress the brake on their own and Duke my. Bloodhound would have a hard time squeezing into the floorboard area at all...that said you bring up a VALID point, which is why Ford and I agree that the parking brake must be on in order for it to function, why I did not chose to bypass.

Well, you have to press the brake pedal to take out of park. Pressing the service brake will disengage the SEIC. Taking out of park will disengage the SEIC. Speed above 0 mph will disengage the SEIC. I think bypassing the parking brake is low risk and you don't need to worry about the truck steamrolling on it's own at 1200 rpms.
If you're worried about this, you should engage the park brake any time you have the truck running with the dogs in there.

Not worried here, just following the SOP for the last almost 10 years...

Do the 2020 trucks have an electric parking brake?
The parking brake on my 2011 DRW will barely hold the truck at idle.
The electric parking brake on our 2020 Explorer and prior to that 2016 MKC require a seatbelt if you apply while moving.
Anyone had any luck retrieving the pass throughs from the top? In order to get my fender liner out the gatorback has to come off and in order to get the GB bracket off I need a tiny wrench to get a plastic trim piece off at the base of the fender. Don’t have a wrench or socket that small. I might be able to reach back there if I take the battery out...
Edit: removing battery won’t help as its in a plastic box anyway.
On my 2019, the pass through wires on the engine compartment side. Wires exited the wiring loom up towards the big module. The harness builder back taped the cut ends to the main harness making it difficult for me to initial find. I think this is done to protect them from laying in the open air, unsupported. Just my thought.

I don’t see any obvious lumps where those extra wires would be taped. I hesitate to tear into the harness as the whole thing is taped. In the past they would use plastic loom.

i was able to retreive the pass thru wires by removing the battery as well as the plastic case it sits in.(remove 3 screws). Amd i also had to loosen the auxiliary box as well and the wire shud be reachable from there.
