Hell even my 2 piece down pipe rubs on the fire wall, getting me real irritated, about time to fix it so i don't feel like i'm riding in a dump truck with 44" mud boggers.
I cannot be the only one where the DP clears everything and went on great the first time...
Nope mine is good. The rest of my exhaust is another story.
I would not worry about the dent. I have put dents for clearance on several 2 stroke MX bikes to keep pipes to keep them off the radiators and frame. It could have been done a little smoother and cleaner.
I didn't know aftermarket pars were suppose to fit... Probably 80% of the parts I've bought - for a mostly stock truck have required cutting, welding, massaging to make fit. Even a MBRP 4" exhaust with the stock turbo, I had to cut a 3" section out of the DP and rotate the last section a few degrees then weld it back together. But I am a perfectionist and am slow so there's that.
I bought my T4 mount for CSD and i to had/have an issue with the dp fitment. But I think mine is 3 1/2” not 4”? I had to make an adaptor to connect to the rest of my 4” existing exhaust.

The CSD DP is 3 1/2".
Greasemonkee.....my MPRB 4" turbo back went on with NO issues....none.
I too had a hell of a time getting the 4" MBRP DP into the truck. Even with the cross member removed I ended up cutting about a foot off the lower end of the DP and then butt clamps to put it back together. I fought with that thing for over 2 hours before I plugged in the sawzall.
It was very late when the act of aggression on the DP took place and the cut was horrendous. Even though the cut was under the clamp, there was no way I was going to offer that for free as a take off part.

I need to pay you a visit with a little cash in hand, my MBRP pipe needs a little modification too, I can't find anyone local with the correct size bender dye.
Dp had to be modified, intermediate pipe moved to the rear and cut the hanger off, rear pipe moved to the front and added a hanger, but in the end it fit, nice and straight. Butt welds in 16GA pipe laying on your back is a little tricky, but I don't do it every day... Welding aluminized steel isn't the best for lungs either. If I can get it on the bench, TIG welding is always the cleaner, stronger, neater option.
I spoke with Carson (from CSD) yesterday. He looked up my order for the T4 mount, said that is was in the time frame in which he was having some issues with his pipe vendor. Normally the DP is $150, he let me have it for $120.
Also, he assured me that the DP can be installed from below. He wanted me the compare the two once the new DP arrives. I told him I would document the differences (if any) for him.
He is a pleasant fella to speak with and very concerned about his customer satisfaction.
I agree with you Dan, Carson is a stand up guy and is working hard to make a very good product for us. I had an issue with the kit he sent me where the marmon flange did not match up to my sxe472. I called him and let him know about it. He sent me the right one right away, along with a shipping label to return the other one. 0 cost to me.
I would like to tell you all that I indeed took pictures of the new DP install...but, considering the MN had a closure of non-essential business at midnight on Friday. I had to hustle my frame over to the body shop and get it mounted. I can say that by all indications it's different than my original DP ....not a lot though. The new one appears to clear the firewall and had a nice flow of the outlet parallel to the frame.
