Oh ya, now I remember those "instructions"... I threw those to the side and pressed on with the advice of those before me...
Dan, now that we are talking about it, I might be remembering putting my MBRP down pipe in with the turbo installed. Looking back at my video, it appears I was wrong in my initial statement when I said I installed the CSD DP with the turbo in place. Looking back at my installation video, I clearly installed the DP before the turbo as you can see at time stamp 15:15 in my video.
My apologies for remembering incorrectly earlier. Like you, I do a memory dump when I sleep now that I am retired.
I did have to massage the DP on the dipstick...an very small amount. It's clear on that area. This hammered crap was to clear the firewall.
I had to replace the short portion of the trans dipstick tube...way before the T4 install. It sucked! It's a tight press fit.
Boy, that was just a bad deal the way they hammered that DP to make it fit. Unfortunately, this is why the good mechanics/ Techs get a bad wrap, because of the shoddy workmanship or lack there of from people like this. I feel your pain brother. I ended up picking up a Suncoast dipstick tube to put in there.
That downpipe appears to have quite the slant on it. Does the revised version sit more upright? The proper fix would have been a putting a sharper bend on the bottom of the downpipe to get it to line up on with the rest of the exhaust. You're owed some money for a damaged downpipe from that exhaust shop methinks.

I spoke with Carson (from CSD) yesterday. He looked up my order for the T4 mount, said that is was in the time frame in which he was having some issues with his pipe vendor. Normally the DP is $150, he let me have it for $120.
Also, he assured me that the DP can be installed from below. He wanted me the compare the two once the new DP arrives. I told him I would document the differences (if any) for him.
He is a pleasant fella to speak with and very concerned about his customer satisfaction.
Dan, whatever you document if you would be so kind as to share the information with us as well so that the repeated question about the CSD DP can be answered by a simple link to this thread.
