I have a 2003 F-350 6.0 with 87,000 miles. It started, ran and towed perfectly until I changed the oil, oil filter and both fuel filters. It started having hot start issues but once running, ran fine, just wouldnt restart for about an hour or so. I had this issue for approximately a week. Then on the second week, I had to take a short highway trip. It had warmed up, I made it about 3 miles outside of town and it started stalling, then died. Of course, would not restart for an hour or so. Now under any load condition, even a very slight incline towing nothing, it continues to stall and die. I have disconnected the ICP sensor and am still having hot start issues. I have not taken it back out on the road yet to test the stalling issue. What is the next step for me? Thank you in advance.
Download ForScan Lite to a smartphone and get an ELM327 OBDII adapter (WiFi for iOS and BlueTooth for Android). The BAFX brand of adapter is good.
1. Read codes
2. Then post the following cranking data:
FICM sync
rpm
FICM MPower
FICMLPower
FICMVPower
ICP volts
ICP pressure
IPR % duty cycle
Fuel Pulse Width
There is a lot of "no-start" help in the Tech folder.
I will assume that you have verified that you have the proper oil level (not under OR over filled), you have plenty of fuel in the tank, the oil and fuel filters are not excessively old, you have OEM fuel AND oil filters, AND you have an OEM oil filter cap.
