Superduty spring swap, which pack?
Got a 2003. Use it for offroading and backcountry camping, rarely if ever for towing. Pretty sure it's the stock suspension. Which rear spring packs should I be shopping for if I want about 3 more inches of nice flexy travel and a plusher ride in the ruts and rocks?

holy bejesus the chatter that comes out of my head sometimes. lmao
that might be one of my more complete explanations, maybe the mods could move that one to the tech folder and save me from writing doing the A-Z write up that i get asked for that I never seem to get around to. I am better answering questions then writing manuals.
from my point of view the typical Mod B swaps fall short in several areas. spring rate is too high, they do not eliminated the block and they certainly are not “flexy”
back in the day they were a great junk yard solution when the only aftermarket spring was full custom and high dollar.
nowadays you can build a better suspension for less money then using ford code springs.
fwiw the so called information that is conflicting is opinions rather then actual information and since everyone is entitled to an opinion they are bound to vary which leads to the confusion. if you are looking for facts then ask and I will do my best to give you the data without any opinion, which is my normal MO.
( yes i have opinions but I prefer to share my information )

that may be the bulk of it but as always the devil is in the details and I see that alignment wasn't discussed, cant be a complete suspension conversation without talking about the steering system and alignment.

That other thread Nicmike linked really should be in the stickies, that's a good one. Looks like Procomps with the sway bars pulled is where I want to be.
i dont have the dimension but easy enough to measure, you will need to lower the bump down to get the timing correct.

you want to stop the up travel when the spring is flat. tie a string across the spring mounts to simulate flat and measure the gap between the stop and the bump, you need a spacer that tall
