There are no angled screws on the 65-66 armrests.

Really. I guess that's why Ford used angled plates to hold them on because they were straight.

All 3 of mine have arm rests and they all use the metal clips that makes the screw angle up. If you buy an NOS arm rest it comes with the 90 degree metal tabs just as depicted that make the screws angle up. The screw is not 45 degrees however because the leg on one side is shorter than the other.
