So i will start with some background. The truck was purchased 3 weeks ago with 109k on it. The following has been replaced in that time. PCI sensor, IPR sensor, drivers side valve cover gasket glow plugs, CPS sensor, hutch and harpoon mod, new fuel filter, 2 brand new baterries intake side intercooler hose connector. As well as new harnesses to the sensors i replaced with the exception of the CPS. All parts have been motorcraft
The issue:
the truck stalls and hiccups and now just dies. It basically runs like ****. However 4 scanners now do not connect to it. there is power to the scanner port i have ciggerette lighter power and ive pinned it out, as well as the dummy light on my scanner is on. It says not communicating with ecu. There is oil in the hpop as well. The injectors seem to be buzzing and when i had the one side off looked good however i didnt open anything up. Im thinking all signs point PCM but i am hoping not. Any help would be much appreciated since i have 140 miles on it since i bought it and already a few hundred into it.
I took my truck to Autozone and O'Reilly Auto parts and neither of their scanners worked.
So I downloaded ForScan and bought the correct connector for the truck.
I took my truck to a couple of different auto parts stores and none of their scanners worked. Ended up downloading ForSCAN and purchasing the correct connector chord.
