I don't see a connection like the gray one. As l mentioned, I disconnected the plug I pictured in post 4 and the truck wouldn't start. Could mine be different?
The part number on that comes back as the fuel inertia cutoff switch. That only shuts off the fuel pump as far as I know.
personally I would rather disable the starter because if some thing goes awry with this setup, you could lose power to the pump while trying to pass or climb a hill.
