This is from the FTE Tech Articles section over on the right side of every page. https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...r_Brights.html
The basics are all there. You'd have to figure out your own switching.
PLAN "B" ... Talk to us. Theres lots of guys here to help you fix the factory lighting if you want.
AL.
I won't be much help since its been a long time since i worked on a truck with a floor switch. Most likely you have three wires running to the floor switch. One would have power when the light switch is turned on the other wires would be high and low beam.
You most likely will have to get a three way switch with off in the middle and power in the other two directions. One more thing there may be four wires on the floor switch.
One terminal that goes to the high beams may have a wire that goes up to the high beam indicator in the dash.
Good luck
Have you replaced the floor dimmer switch. That would be far simpler than extending wires and mounting a new switch. Do you have current at any of it's terminals when the
headlights are on? A test light will tell you.
