Hey folks! I need a bit of help. I'm replacing the water pump on my truck, a 95 F250 with a 5.8l out of a 93 E350. I took the leaking water pump off about a month ago and only now have I been able to order the replacement. I still have all the bolts for the water pump, but I'm unsure of the placement of each bolt as they're all different sizes. Does anyone have a good reference photo I can look at or something similar? I've found a picture on Google but I'd like to be able to compare it to other pictures, as I don't want to screw up the threading (no pun intended).
Hmmm, that post is useful except In one way, I finally got the bolts back in, but discovered the G bolt is missing. Any idea where I could source just the G bolt?
the parts stores has a water pump stud kit(only 3 bolts) dorman # 23744, and see if the short stud fits(length wise), LMR has the whole kit $80, but I had already done the cut to length before I found any of this info.
I went to rural king, got a 7" carriage bolt and 2 nuts and cut head off, threaded in by hand as far as possible, with one nut jammed to other, finished tightening,

I think I'm going to go with the threaded rod option, as I can't afford the entire bolt kit from LMR and the 3pc kit doesn't have the right bolt. How much coolant will it need?
my owners manual says, between 15-16 quarts, I'm thinking that would be whole system empty, I'm not sure where the hockey sticks it can hide 4 dam gallons! I only put a little over 1.5 gallon in when I did mine

Well don't be surprised when that threaded rod snaps. They're notoriously weak.

The block holds 2 gallons by itself. The radiator and the plumbing holds the rest.
Don't forget to open up the threaded pipe plugs at the base of the block skirts to fully drain the block to do a thorough block cleaning. There is one near the front of the passenger side, and the other is near the rear of the driver's side. If your engine is sloped like most are, you might want to jack up the rear of the vehicle to completely drain the passenger side.

I've never been able to unscrew these little f*#@ers !
