351 H.O. head question

My nephew is rebuilding a 351 H.O. out of his 86 F150. The heads are cracked on it. What years would be a direct replacement? Would EFI heads work as well?

The OEM head on this motor is nothing special and I would recommend ditching them for a late model E7TE or F1 or F3 GT40 head any time a rebuild is being performed. All these late model heads are a direct bolt-on and would provide 1/2 to 1 point increase in static CR.

So a intake manifold from a carbed engine will bolt on to a work with fuel injected heads?

Yes, there's no difference in the heads on SB Fords between EFI and carbed
