Be sure to ask the GMC/Chevy dealer if they've solved their issue with steering box failures in their HD trucks. 2016 and 2017 models certainly had it, and still struggle with it to this day. I had a 2016 Chevy 2500HD High Country Duramax and had 3 steering box failures in 23k miles. 2016 was the first year of their redesigned electronic steering box designed to "make a big truck drive like a sedan". I dumped that truck and will never go back to GM trucks. I haven't kept up on whether or not they've solved the issue with newer year models.

You are probably right; AEB and ACC most likely work with each other on the new trucks.

After following this thread, I'm glad my truck does not have AEB; I would not be anxious to see what happens when a deer runs out while I'm pulling heavy. With deer, I think it is more dangerous to try some last minute evasive maneuver or panic braking than to let the Ranch Hand take them; I tell my wife to just hit it.

I have a 2020 F250 Lariat (plus value package). It's a Supercab so I couldn't get the adaptive cruise option. I don't have the radar box in the front, but I do have the pre-collision assist and active braking functionality (it's in the menus). So it uses the front camera(s)? Is there any worry of a bug splattering over it causing my brakes to slam on while going down the highway? I imagine the engineers take this into account somehow, but I was just curious. Does it use a combo of the front grille camera and windshield camera? If it's a system that relies on input from a single camera, that kind of worries me a bit. Last thing I want is the brakes activating in a false positive scenario in busy traffic.

I've also seen references to a line of LEDs on the dashboard that are supposed to act as a HUD reflecting off the windshield and light up when the system engages, but I don't have those.

Yes Red LEDs show on the windshield this is to alert you it sees something and to apply brakes. Apply brakes and you are in control don’t and it will!

As for going to Denver to see Chevy and RAM. Well she dropped me in Denver and I knew I had about a mile to fall. I have already done the research which is why I bought a F450, my 6th Superduty.
