You have to remember that the SD shares the cab of the F150 so if you have a XLT or lower trim level SD, it wouldn’t be uncommon for you to have the same warpage issue.

The repair is intense and to add further insult the dash is on a 9 month minimum backorder. Every truck in the fleet has this issue including all four of my own personal trucks. I learned to live with it especially after we had two trucks done and the dashes just rattle and squeak now.

My wife's F150 has a warped dash but she's never noticed it and I don't know if I even want to bring it to her attention since they have to rip the entire dash apart to fix it and like ford390 mentioned you run the risk of ending up with a noisy dash.

If my F250 warps I'm not going to worry about it. My wife's isn't really that bad and I'm usually a little fussy about how stuff looks.

Here's my wife's F150 dash. This is pretty minor and I'm sure others have it much worse. You can kind of see how the top of the dash has a bow in it and if you push on it it will go down.

2019 F150 XLT warped dash

I had my 7 month old truck into my Ford dealer last week to get some warranty work done which included the dash replacement. I decided to cancel the dash work at the last minute because it is not too severe on the passenger's side. Driver's side looks fine. At first I thought it could be done without ripping all the electronics buried in the dash. Apparently not so, I didn't want to take a chance having a noisy dash, it just wasn't worth it and it was the first one the dealer would have done. Didn't want to be a guinea pig on that job. I will be getting a dash pad cover that will cover it.
Perhaps in the not too distant future Ford will have the problem corrected, I have heard many F150 owners that had their dash replaced were frustrated again after some of the warped again after 2 days. For now, I'll live with it. Ford has to get their act together on their bread and butter truck!
