Anyone had one of these mirrors apart? As you can see someone slapped it with something and broke the plastic bezel on the face of the assembly. I am going to try to find someone with a broken mirror that might have this bezel intact instead of spending $700+ on a new mirror from Ford.
How does it come apart? Any advice would help... I'm sure they had to know they hit it and they kept on going.
These don't come apart very easy. But I have a mirror, depending on what you have. This mirror is full power, heated, power extend/retract. It is made for the chrome or body matching cap, which I do not have for this mirror. It was for my 2011, which I no longer have. If you want more information, and think it might work for you, PM me. It is an aftermarket from 1A. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks, that's enough to get me started. I have a heated and power remote mirror from a '09 and plan to take it apart and get the plastic panel from it. I hate to destroy a good mirror but it's a lot cheaper than buying a new one. The only bright side I see to this is whoever hit the mirror didn't wipe out the whole side of my truck. So there is a silver lining to this cloud...

No problem. Glad to help. Things could always be worse, no doubt.
