Loading Motorcycles w/ Tailgate Step?

After loading dirt bikes in the back of trucks for years with 1 or 2 ramps I bought one of these.

They are expensive but a great design. And no I haven’t even tried using the tailgate step to load bikes. I use it all the time but not for that.

I have loaded dirtbikes in my truck loads of times with the step. I do it with the engines running though and just feathering the clutch, so I don't have the added force of trying to push the bike up the ramp. I weigh 250 lbs and don't have any concerns about the strength of the step at all. In fact I usually hit it and about a jog and sort of jump on it.
