Body Mounts??

I have this really annoying creaking sound whenever I hit bumps and also when I take off from a stop. I think it may be the body mounts?? I can feel the creaking under my feet?
Has anyone else ever had this problem?? If so, is there a way to stop the creaking???

Not sure if this is it,
but there was a TSB for the 'noise' under the driver's feet... repairable by Ford under warranty...

BUT....
if the TSB was never done, you can still get it done, can't you ???

Wait, started to say I had that done on my wife's old car before we sold it... but that was recalls....

Sorry, don't recall exactly, think it was something about the sway bar mount???
do you have access to any sites that allow you to look up TSB's ?

Do a google.com search and I think there are a few out there...

or maybe one of the more knowledgeable people here can help !

try here --> Car Talk TSB headers

Oh heck - the URL feature failed me... cut and paste this (without the quotes!)

And I HATE to refer anyone here - but here 'tis:

I had the exact same problem and everyone said it was something different. I replaced spring spacers, bushings, greased the springs, replace sway bar bushings, etc.... . Any how the problem i found it to be was where the endlinks for the sway bay mount to the frame the pass through a "pillow block" so to speak before the go through the frame. The hole in these blocks is slightly larger than the bolt from the end link causing just enough movement for thebolt and nut to move against the frame and cause that annoying creaking at take off and stop. The fix is to secure either the nut of make a bushing to fit inside the blocks to eliminate any movement of the bolt.

To see if this is your problem, remove the sway bar and drive around for a while - I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

I spent a lot of time and money before I figured this out - I hope it helps you.
