ANOTHER UPDATE-***COST OF REPAIR***14K
I received (2) estimates for repair. Since entire 'Fuel System" has water contamination the Dealers are stating the S/D needs the following; If you look at quotes the parts cost between the two are big difference as well, the labor costs between the two has a huge difference??? Both are Local Ford Dealers.

Already Done...Called Insurance Co. But from what I can tell the CONTAM. KIT online from FORD Part# EC3Z-9B246-C and can be purchased online from ford dealers for @ $3200-$3300. A couple of posts mention @ 18 hrs. Labor for the job? So quote I received at the (2) ford dealers for the parts $7100 (Dlr #1) and $5600 (Dlr #2) seem excessive??? Labor at (Dlr #1) $5500 and (Dlr # 2) $8500 also seems excessive?

If the “Ford Contanination Kit FORD EC3Z-9B246-C“ is @$3200 online Ford Dealer Prices (list $4200) and I saw in another post the job is rated around 18hrs. to complete then these prices quoted by the Dealer(s) seem to to be REALLY “out there”....? Something is definitely not adding up.......

I’m a recent victim of contaminated fuel. I was concerned because the dealer diagnosed issue by smelling fuel and visual inspection. I called BS and wanted a fuel analysis done, they drug their feet. I was calling BS because of the issues with the CP4 pump.
Dealer recommended I get my ins co involved (USAA). Ins co was great, they sent out an adjuster and took sample of fuel and it did com back with water in the diesel. Ins covered repair under comp claim less my deductible.
I filled up at same gas station at two week intervals at same pump. Used my 76 card each time so I had all documentation of the fill ups. I contacted station who referred me to fuel distributor who referred me to their ins co. I fwd fuel distributor’s ins info to my ins co. and they ended up reimbursing USAA for the claim and I got my deductible reimbursed too.
