Stynadyne fuel adative?
I just started using the Stynadynea performance formula for warm weather (40 degrees and up) in the last two tanks. It seems as if my fuel mileage has dropped and the regens are more frequent. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
The Stanadyne is a demulisifer. It causes the water to drop out of solution with the fuel so the water filter can separate it out. A few others have this proper but Diesel Kleen does not. Diesel Kleen tries to keep the water in solution and force it through the fuel system as I understand. Ford denies warranty on the fuel system if there is any rust on the injectors or HPOP parts.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Power Service. Our products are neither an emulsifier or demulsifier. They make water soluble in diesel fuel, or in other words it dissolves water and makes it part of the diesel fuel. The only additive that contains any alcohol is Diesel 911, and it contains a very safe, high molecular weight alcohol that will not cause any engine harm. If you have any further questions please give me a call at 817-599-9486 and ask for Jessica.
Thank you and have a great day,

I have read other threads on Ford not honoring engine warranty so am concerned with what is the best product to use. I had the frame mounted fuel filter checked at 5k and changed at 14k specifically to check for water. According to the tech no water was present. In addition I have done checks myself and did not see water.
What is the best thing to do to avoid Ford warranty problems?

I hope this is a wise move for my 6.7..
The comments regarding emulsifying vs. demulsifying water are absolutely correct. With today's HPCR systems the last thing you want to do is run an additive that will disperse water. If water is dispersed it can end up exactly where you don't want it - in the injector tips. Since water doesn't burn, it can blow off the injector tips in these high pressure systems.
The best solution is to run additives that demulsify water so that the fuel/water separators can do their jobs. There are a couple of additives out there today that will demulsify water. We make additives under the Diesel Power!® Brand that not only demulsify water but will also help clean the fuel system, boost cetane, and provide anti-gel. You can see more on those products in the link below.

Do you sell your product to Ford which sells it as PM22A Cetane Boost?
The reason I ask is that I saw your product recently in a Tractor Supply and it was in the same identical bottle as the Ford PM22A, just with the Gold Eagle Label.
I have a case of Ford PM22a in my garage, perhaps I can find a manufacturer's SKU code on it.
Thanks

Happy Friday!

So reading this thread is this additive you all talk about something I need to run or just a choice you all make? I definitely don't want any issues with my truck and for that matter water screwing up something and me having to fight the dealer to get a problem taken care of.
