Connector C331 Modified Vehicle Power

My service manual mentions a C331 connector in the same area as my C330. It is called the modified vehicle power. it says it is a six wire, brown connector and is behind left "B" pillar and near seat belt retractor.

Thanks for all the info! You’re JWA Jr

I don’t see the factory RKE connector. I guess Ford saved more $$ than by having the harness made in Honduras (says so all over the harness in this ‘07).

I wired a cheapo RKE set by cutting the wires that go to the actuators from the master switch. I got something right because the van’s switches work properly through the RKE module but I keep blowing the RKE system fuse when I use the fob :/ I’ll revisit my wiring with the diagrams you kindly shared.

Since someone here ^^^ has what appears to be a factory EVTM look specifically for the RKE module wiring and the actual device as its connected to the chassis wiring. Typically you'll find TWO relatively flat male plugs each with 13 terminal ports, one is grey and one is black. Check the EVTM for Connector #'sC3140a (black) and C3140b (grey). If the factory RKE module isn't installed those connectors WILL NOT be present.

Taking time to understand how the factory RKE functions and seeing how integrated it is into the whole PDL circuit you'll quickly see the only way to add something marginally similar is going to the aftermarket.

Good luck to those trying to work through this----I'm out of this thread now!
