Questions about frame prep

So in keeping with the rest of this project. Just got a little deeper. Found a nice new bed. Pulled mine. With the bed gone and cab loose, easy enough to swing the engine out and deal with the rust on the frame. At least I finally found my stopping point. Never dealt with a rusty frame so looking for input on how to tackle it. Here’s my plan. Been working it with a needle scaler. Hitting what I can get to with flapper disks. Disks clean it up well but can’t get to a lot of stuff. Having it sandblasted is not in the cards. Already in way deeper than I intended and a lot of parts left to buy. So thinking cleaned up as well as I can. Pressure wash. Spray it all with converter. Then topcoat with encapsulator. Appreciate any input. Thanks.

First couple of photos are some stuff I’m considering done. Last one untouched frame.

I think you pretty well nailed it. Knock all the scale off you can, degrease, metal prep, top coat. I've always had really good luck with the Por 15 kit.

You've knocked out the hard part. Now would be a good a good time to spray a rust converter call ospho on the frame. I work in a restoration shop and that stuff is like gold. After 24hrs you can top coat with a primer and paint or use POR15. I've coated with ospho and left the metal outside for 6months with no rust!!
