There’s continuity but not sure if wire has strands broken inside the insulation. I didn’t see any grounds aside from the ones that go to the ECU.
Truck is running good as of now but I have a feeling I’ll be having issues with it in the future. Now that I have the harness hooked back up. If I have issues down the road. I’ll probably have to find another harness.
With both ends of the harness unplugged, put one probe on the wire you're testing. Put the other probe on a good ground. Is there continuity? If so, you have a short to ground.
I was VERY fortunate to get a new transmission harness after the transmission shop that rebuilt my transmission hacked mine up trying to fix a hardware problem they caused.
They found one in Livonia (One of Ford's transmission plants) and sent it to me. It was no easy find, they had them all day for 2005-2007 Super Duty but not my 2005 Excursion.
It'll probably require a little work but I'm sure you can find one.
Awesome man! Thanks for all the info! I’ll definitely get me a Dongle. I’m just using my SCTLivewire monitor
Be sure to search for Forscan in the 6.0L forum as there are ways to get info with laptop or a smart phone and tablet.
I understand that the laptop version might give more data.
Hey guys sorry for taking so long to post on here. Seems like my problems were solved. I put the harness together cleaned all the terminals and sensor contacts threw some lube on them and hooked everything back up. It’s been about 2000 miles and everything is working great ( knock on wood) I appreciate everybody’s help on this.
