I have a 4wd 14' f250 with 6.7 powerstroke. I notice about a month ago there is a vibration that sounds like it is comes from the passenger side when I am just maintaining speed. It goes away with acceleration. I also noticed it sometimes does it when it is downshifting (when I let off the gas and let gravity slow it down). I've gotten under and checked the exhaust, everything seems tight. I've also checked the drive shaft and cross member bar under the trans and both have no play. It shifts perfectly under load, heavy acceleration, light acceleration, and deceleration. My trans fluid is full and clean. It hasn't thrown any codes either. Have yall heard of this before or have any ideas? I've read it could be the front bearings but I have checked them yet. I honestly think it's a exhaust issue but I can't seem to place it.
PS. It has a 4inch pipe turbo back. Also its not a "stock" exhaust system by any means!
Thanks in advance!
You need to use a jack & lift each tire of the ground and grab it and rotate it to check for any play.
Top to bottom play is an indication of wheel bearing play, left to right is play is usually steering related.
Also if you have a carrier bearing check that for play.

Sorry it took so long to reply. So I checked the wheel bearings and didn't see or feel any play. I also don't have a carrier bearing. I did realize that it only does it at 1000-1100 rpms (whether on the throttle or not) I really only ever notice it when I running about 40-50 mph (that's when my rpms stay around 1100). I was told it could be an exhaust leak but to be honest it's not what I would expect a leak to feel or sound like. I think its something to do with my turbo but like I said before the down pipe and the rest of the exhaust system doesn't have any play.
Thanks!
I'd hazard a guess that your not stock exhaust is vibrating against something maybe?
Well I thought the same thing but I can't find any points of contact. I think I'm going to have to take it to someone. If you could hear it, you would probably know what it was. Its just hard to explain.
You can here it at 0.03, 0.18, and 0.55 seconds. I cant feel it on the driver side, you can feel it on the passenger side though. Also you can hear more than you can feel it.
Side note: don't mind the rusty gun I have cleaned it since then lol.
