Guess I missed the engine mounting. Did you fabricate brackets?
post 53 goes over those. Here’s pictures of the driver side painted. In order to line them up, we attached the tail end of the transmission and the clutch equalizer, leveled the motor, and then starting cutting and tack welding c channel to make the brackets. A few gusset plates and some paint and they were done.
Summit single stage. Wimbledon white and coastal ble. Sprayed with my HF 21 gallon compressor, a 5 gal aux tank with a oil separator to act as a trap, and a spray it lvlp gun.
Yup. Custom 2-tone. Kid liked the two tone so he gets the two tone.
he had 2 friends over tonight. I made them do 5 minutes of work for their pizza and help put the cab back on.
Good deal! My 65 style side had custom two tone when I got it. PO had put white plastidip over the caribbean turquoise from the trim line up. Lots of it. I replaced the bed with one from a tropical turquoise/wimbledon white donor. Had to prime the hood after stripping the plastidip so it's pretty mixed now. Can't say what it will look like when I'm done... How she looks currently Along the journey Shortly after I bought my slick.
Wind died down. Got the bed painted yesterday. Hoping to mount it up this week. Gotta have my son grab his fellow football players. Little touch up needed where masking ripped.
Took off Wednesday before thanksgiving. Got a bunch done.
New water neck, thermostat, and water pump... old ones were full of gunk and rust. Finished up plumbing the brakes, installed the new MC and chased down leaks after bleeding. Now the brakes work! New water pump and thermostat housing/water neck Master cylinder installed and hooked up. Test fit the bed... will need a little work.
We also test fit the bed... the inside of the wheels are a little close to the bed. Probably less than 1/4 inch. I can’t get my fingers in there. Might need some wider adapter/spacers for the CV wheels.
Next up are seatbelts, fabbing a mount for PS pump, and some new sending units for engine temp and oil pressure. Also have a bunch of brackets and misc. to paint.
