Replace diesel cluster with gas?
My 1988 7.3 idi gauge cluster took a crap and now my speedo spins crazy fast. Diesel clusters are really hard to find aroynd here and I've hae no luck for about 2 months now. Will a gas cluster work? I know the tach reads higher with different redlines. Just curious if anyone has tried. Thanks.

You could put the speedo from a gas cluster into your existing diesel cluster.

yup, just replace the speedometer.

Anything that I need to know going into it? I've had the cluster out once when I replaced it but I have never took a cluster apart.

hardest part of the deal is getting the cable off the back of the speedometer to remove the cluster from the dash.
