Started it up this morning to go to work and heard a ticking/knocking sound I've never noticed before(at least not this loud). The sound could be heard from around the whole front end but seemed loudest from passenger side wheel well. I drove the 6 miles to work and got out but could not hear the noise then.
Started up tonight to leave work and it was not making the noise so I drove home and popped the hood and could hear the noise but it wasn't very loud and sounded like it was coming from the drivers valve area.
The noise didn't seem to change with rpms, although once the engine sped up the normal sounds might have drown out the other noise. The noise isn't like the belt slap from the other thread. I'm just trying to figure out if this noise is normal and it was louder this morning for some reason or if something else is going on. I have a video on my phone that is really clear but I can't figure out how to get it to show up on here. The one I took with my camera that I could get to download isn't very good.
Here is a video I found that is close to my sound. Mine isn't quite a fast as this one but the tick is the same. Also, this morning mine wasn't quite as loud as this one but it was close, this evening it was a lot quieter than this one.
My 19 has had that as well at times. Sometimes it sounds like its quiet as hell, other times theres a tick like that. I have no answers but 8500 miles later no issues.

That's what I've noticed. It hasn't made the noise since that morning.
