Do our trucks have active noise cancellation or active noise management? I searched and found references to it in the F150s but nothing on the F250. I have a 250 Platinum that was delivered today. Thanks. Look forward to learning more and modding more.
I have never read anything about active sound management in our super duty trucks, which is technology to get rid of unwanted noises....typically found in luxury oriented vehicles.
The piping in of exhaust sound like in a mustang is something different. Our trucks sound so good due to their raw power we don’t need that artificial “enhancement”.
I can think of many aspects of my life where active noise cancellation would come in handy.
I find the truck pretty quiet, only times people on the phone can hear that I am driving are:
1. When turn signals are engaged (does anyone know how to get rid of clicking sound?)
2. I am in reverse
There is no active noise cancellation in the Super Duty, and it really doesn't need it. It has one of the quietest interiors of any vehicle, not just pickup trucks. (62.5dB @ 60mph). The Super Duty uses a Ford "SoundScreen" double laminated windshield to reduce wind noise, plus textile front inner wheel linings, and an acoustic pad between the pickup bed and cab rear wall.
Thanks for the replies. I never found anything but I swear my ears feel like I'm wearing noise cancelling headphones when I drive this thing. It is quiet for sure. On the overhead console, I think there are 4 microphones but maybe that is just for phone and voice commands. My wife old Yukon used those mics for noise cancellation but it wasn't in any spec sheet.

Those 4 "microphones" aren't mics at all...they are ultrasonic sensors used by the security system for protecting the interior.
The actual microphones used by the voice command system are more forward on the overhead console in between the front map lights.
Maybe the difference you're hearing is the new windows, they are laminated specifically to dampen noise. The bottom corner of your driver's side front window should have a SoundScreen logo...if I remember correctly.
