Can someone confirm for me that the first 3 coils on the V10 sit higher than the back 2 on each side.
Looking at my son's V10 yesterday I noticed the coils for cylinders 1,2,3 and 6,7,8 sit at least 1/2 to 3/4 inch higher. They are bolted to the intake but you still see the top part of boot sticking out the hole in the head. Is this normal? I just do not see how they are connecting to the plug with same length boot as back 2 on each side. They must just barely sit down on the plugs is all I can figure.
Will be looking a lot closer this week as doing valve cover gaskets on this stinking rascal.
I will find out in next couple of weeks. Got the valve cover gasket set,and intake manifold set on order. I just do not feel like standing on the step ladder today to investigate it further. Will be able to see it good when we do the tear down to fix leaking valve cover gasket. I am going to go ahead and do intake gasket set while it is down.
Optical Illusion when you standing on ground looking into engine. Started breaking it down yesterday for new VC gaskets and Intake manifold gaskets. Wish now I had him take it to a shop. Standing on step ladder to reach everything on this rascal killing me.
