Mode select

I thought when I got my truck I was skimming the manual and I read truck needs to be in park to shift driving mode but now I went back looking and can't find it ,so can I shift on the fly or does truck need to be stopped

On the fly is fine. When in town, I leave it in Sport, get out of town, and I go back to regular drive. No need to stop. Sounds like you may have gotten confused with shifting into/out of 4L.

4L you use neutral.

If OP has Lariat or higher, 4A is also shift on the fly.

Just hit the DM button on the left side of your shift lever any time.

I wish the F150 remembered DM between starts... It remembers 2H/4A/4H/4L.

For the next firmware update--Ha!
