I picked up Autoenginuity and my coolant temp is readng 300 degrees at start up. I did some reading and some people state that Autoenginuity does not read the temp sensor correctly at all due to no connection to the PCM and it is only used for the temp gauge, but some say that the pcm does get information from the CTS with a manual transmission. Anyone know?
None available on my Edge Insight. Just engine oil temperature. I put a probe in my coolant filter assy, need to send out my electric fuel pressure gauge so I can install my set of three gauges. Other is an oil pressure gauge.
Best for the ZF is an extra quart (five total), rare earth magnets on the PTO covers inside, and a good synthetic oil. But even Walmart Supertech works fine too. This way you can actually pull a PTO cover, eyeball inside the case, clean the magnets, reinstall. OE magnet is not serviceable due to its location between the case halves. Not sure what ZF's deal was in the '80s and '90s, none of their automatics have good filtration either...simple screen with magnets in the pan.

Those magnets are a great idea. Thanks for that. My ZF right now is filled the standard way with Transynd fluid. From what I got from ZF is that they recommend Transynd which is good for me because I have a Duramax with an Allison which uses the same fluid.
Duramax! VERBOTEN!!! j/k Great engines and trans, I just do not care for the IFS under them. Glad to see it is beefed up more over time. I drive MB Diesels too, OM617A and an OM603.

1" x 1/8" massive pull, they go in all my autos I build for folks and my own stuff. Amazing amount of **** they can pull out of the fluid.
My Duramax is an old LB7 its in good shape and "relatively" low miles 150K. I got a good deal but of course it needed injectors. It does have spindly little tie rods and wimpy control arms. Those are next on my list after this Ford is squared away.
