ISSPRO temp sensor bad?

Hey guys,
Did a full gauge install a few years ago. ISSPRO EGT/Boost/Trans temp/Coolant temp. About a year ago the trans temps went nuts ... disconnected the sensor, cleaned the contacts, all ok. Now the water temp is acting funny ... reads quite high (like 250 the other day, in 60deg weather no towing). I cleaned the connector once and it behaved for awhile, now it's back. Do these things go bad? I doubt it's the gauge?

Are the coolant and trans temp sensors of the same type? I don't know what the resistance spec should be across the sensor. But if the two temp sensors are the same, you can compare readings when everything is "dead cold" and see if they are similar.

That's what Clay suggested as a test for my oil/fuel pressure. But, not sure if it would work for temps?

Well now there's a "why didn't I think of that" idea. Will try that out.

It was a OH CRAP moment the first time I saw my coolant at 250 but then I realized nothing funny was going on with the truck, coolant wasn't leaking, fan clutch wasn't engaged and the stock temp gauge (as worthless as it is) was at normal...

My ISSPRO fuel pressure sending unit went bad and the gauge just started climbing slowly while I drove home. I checked the fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge and then plugged the old sending unit into my boost gauge and saw the same results. Clay sent me a new sending unit the next day.
