Dry fitting the intake.
what do I do about the alignment pin in the front China wall!?
-Do I drill a small hole (counter sink) to let the pin do its job, or pull the pin?
-Using the gasket as a template.
Yes, drill the manifold for the dowel. The dowel is there to locate the manifold, obviously, but the hole need not be precise because you are going to fit the manifold with a distributor, right?

Yes I took the old Dist rubber off and used the Dist, slides right in (test fit).
I did measure and drill the intake for the dowel later on this afternoon and worked pretty good.
I put a dab of WhiteOut on the top of the dowel and set the intake on it for a reference mark.
I was surprised to say the least about how easy it lined up, or how lucky I got.
Thanks again, I couldn't remember if I needed to pull the dowel and just use the dist or not, but went for the drilling anyway.
