Putting LED fog lights in. All wired up just can't seem to find a way through the firewall. Anyone got pics of this?
I am guessing through drivers side tear out carpet in rubber grommet? I've done this on the passenger side but the heater gets in the way on the firewall in engine compartment. Passenger side would be best or I would need to patch in more wire to lengthen my harness to make it go through drivers side. But I'll do whatever it takes not to have to take the fender guard out to get the job done. Thanks for your input
Have you already used all 4 of the factory installed customer convenience wires that run from under the dash through the firewall into the engine bay?
Look around the harness by the brake master cylinder and up under the dash between steering column and radio area, should be 4 wires blunt cut and waiting for service.

There is also a rubber plug in the driver's side footwell area, towards the kick panel, about 4 to 6 inches away. It's just under the top of the carpet, I ran my 4 gauge amp wire through it and it worked perfect!

Where are those under the dash? Are they dead on that side like they are in the engine bay?
Where do those convenience wires terminate inside the cab?

My foggy memory thinks there are 3 bundled up just towards center from the steering column and the forth one is closer to the radio. I think, its been a while since i've driven my EX let alone crawled under the dash.
And yes, they are dead blunt cut wirers on both ends inside the cab and engine bay.

Your 100% correct! I found the 3 about 2 weeks ago when I was installing my brake controller in my Ex. They are next to the steering column, mine were to the right side of it, didn't look for the 4th one. The 4 wires under the hood are between the master cylinder and the inner fender coming out of the factory harness. I wondered what those were for when I was running my amp wire, and then noticed the 3 near the steering column when I had the access cover off, then thought 4 wires there and only 3 wires here. Didn't "figure it out" until you posted here about them. Now I know if I need a wire or two in 14 gauge ish I have a way to the battery, or whatever I need them for...
I found red, black, yellow and green wires in the engine bay sticking out of the wire harness. I however cannot find anything underneath the dash anywhere. I see red and black wire next to blue and white wires near my brake controller but these don't match whats in the engine bay. I'm also trying to take the dash apart on the bottom center to look some more but that's a crazy process in itself! I had no idea fog lights would be this frustrating.
There is a plastic plate above the brake pedal, pop it out and drill a hole in it then use a waterproof pass through grommet to run your wires through. If you want the simple method just drill a hole and run wires through then zip tie the wires on both sides to isolate them. Don’t overthink it, just wires!
Went through the passenger footwell rubber seal with the original wiring harness and it reached to drivers side inside the cab. No splicing needed! Now I have LED fog lights! Thanks for your help. The Ford wiring harness extra wires could not be located inside the cab at all. I spent an hour with no luck.
