Trip odometer ****
The other day, I pressed on the trip odometer **** to check my trip mileage. It didn't feel right as it didn't switch from mileage to trip unless I pressed done hard. As I was driving, I pressed the trip meter ****, it switched to the trip mileage and then it wouldn't switch back. Since I was driving and it was dark out, I didn't mess with it. I then noticed that the trip meter **** was missing. I checked the interior compartment and I couldn't find it. I don't know if it fell out or is stuck somewhere.
Does anyone know how the trip odometer **** is held in? Or are they available separately? I could buy a cluster off Ebay and dissect it.

The ***** are part of a tiny plastic arm that actuates a tiny switch on the circuit board behind the speedometer face. It's not uncommon for them to break. When you pull the cluster out and pop the speedometer module out they are easy to see and replace. Any cluster '92 - '96/7, 150, 250, 350 will have the same buttons and actuator arms. If you switch clusters - for a tach, for example - know that '94 marks a switch in compatibility with earlier units only interchangeable together and later units only interchangeable together.
Don't buy a cluster off ebay - they are overpriced and you really don't need the whole thing. Go to a junkyard with a screwdriver and torx set and just pull the speedo out of a cluster. It'll be like ten bucks.
