What's the final Tim? You think that something went wrong with the switch or wiring and the elock got stuck in the engaged position?
Hey Rodney, The final.... Some time in the last seven years part of the E-Loc casting broke, causing a loss of tolerances and a lot of grey iron getting ground up.
The last time I changed the oil it was normal.
Nothing Electrical caused this. Diff never came on or off unexpectedly until the last day of use. It was not an electrical issue ever.
When the diff engage portion got chewed up enough internally, it started to engage or wedge temporarily. but never locked up completely.
I'm certain it would have blown the diff carrier apart if I would have kept driving it. the spiders were loose in the spool.
The best part was, grey iron is soft and saved me from buying a ring and pinion set. If you call that good.....
