I have been hearing and feeling a strange viberation, which feels like it is coming from behind the cab (possibly rear end), when I take off and turn right or left. I don't really notice it when I start off and go straight nor when I turn when I am up to speed.
Could it possibly be coming from the rear end (limited slip)? I don't know what to think, but I'm afraid something might be binding a little.
Any suggestions????
Sounds like it could be the clutches in the rear diff. Start by draining and refilling the diff and adding a couple of bottles of friction modifier and see if that helps. If not, you'll have to replace the clutches in the diff to get it cleared up.
hdgjr, my f-350 has done this since new. Service suggested to make several sharp turns in each direction at low speed. Clears right up. Have to do every few months to keep smooth. I also added bottle of friction modifier. Calli ( just have 40,000 miles though)
Thanks, JMortan and Calli. This is the direction my brain was working but didn't have enought experience to trust my instincts. I'll try some of this and see what happens.
Thanks again,
Harry Griffin
