under 30 degrees when i start the truck it will run for 10 seconds or so then die. then to restart i have to hold full throttle and "clear it out" , it runs just like an old carb engine that is flooded.
i have replaced the purge valve twice now. it runs fine for a while, then starts acting up again. the current purge valve is three weeks old.
is there a temp sensor i am missing like the old GM 350's used that controls cold start? i had quite a few fuel injected 350's come in that acted like choke stuck closed, and changing the PCM temp sensor fixed them.
so i started thinking and am wondering if the 6.2 uses the same style system with two temp sensors, one for gauge and one for PCM?

Have you scanned it for any codes.
If you don't have a reader I would get a bluetooth adapter and download the FORScan app, it will read about every sensor on the truck.

last code i got was from bad fuel cap three months ago.
this truck is a true head scratcher. besides the no cold start and eating purge valves, it also is only getting 7 mpg.
Have you replaced the fuel cap? It could be the cap is not venting properly and over pressuring or causing a vacuum in the tank effecting the purge valves.
